providing innovative design ideas to help our clients achieve their strategic goals

Macon, GA

The scope of this phased project included a new metal roof,  paint, flooring, classroom countertops and reception desk upgrades, markerboards, gym flooring, suspended acoustical panels, secured vestibule, new specially equipped classrooms, fire alarm upgrades,  and HVAC upgrades.

In conjunction with the necessary safety and security upgrades, a new roof was added which updated the exterior of the building.  The interiors were updated with new flooring, paint, and suspended acoustical panels.  The new interior colors were chosen to add a fresh look while still complimenting the existing finishes that remained. Site work also included was a new parent pick-up loop with canopy.  Other revisions were also made to create more efficient traffic flow and faster loading and unloading times.

Education

Academic facilities present the architect with a unique challenge.

Structures built for education must be extremely flexible due to the multiplicity of uses they require and the ever-changing nature of the profession.

While they must be adaptable to changing technology, they must be inviting, accommodating and conducive to learning. In addition, they must be durable and designed for a long life span.

And almost always, these goals must be met on a limited budget. SRJ’s decades of experience in this challenging field enable us to deliver our clients exceptional facilities that fulfill their goals ... within their budget.
