The Pike County School System partnered with SRJ Architects Inc. to modernize their auditorium, which dates back to the 1960s. The school system envisioned a transformation that included the addition of a new lobby, restroom, and concession area, providing the building's façade with a fresh appearance. The design team at SRJ worked closely with the owner to craft a design that honored classical architectural elements while incorporating the owner’s request of a natural material palette. In addition, the interior of the existing structure underwent a comprehensive update, incorporating new finishes to blend the new addition with the existing aged structure seamlessly. The result of this collaborative effort between SRJ Architect Inc. and the Pike County School System is a state-of-the-art facility that benefits students and enhances the community's overall experience.
